Arrrved at the beach at 1330 and it looked good. Within 5 mins it was chucking it with rain and blowing 30knots plus! This only lasted 10 mins then nothing and sun came out. Hung around for an hour and it picked up. Rigged 5.8m on Hifly 265. First run was dodgy ok going out, on and off plane on way back in. Got stuck in surf at town end but then wind picked up and went very onshore. Had a great time blasting up and down through the waves, got overpowered but still ok, just going faster and bigger wipeouts, these were normally after jumps or failed gybes.

Loads of kite surfers out , fortunately was able to get upwind of most of them and when it really blew up they went in. Wind then died for 15 mins or so then came in more cross shore. First 2 runs out were great but it just kept getting stronger. Had some very overpowered runs, usually losing it when hitting bigger waves. Still a couple of kite surfers out and 2 or 3 windsurfers.

Gave up abou 5.30pm as I was knackered and the wind was just increasing. Hands a bit cold but pretty warm for March.

Still a great afternoon. Nice to be out again. All gybes failed but nearly there so many times. Taking power back from the rig and waves main problem
